Use of Industrial Waste PVC Sawdust in Mortar and Concrete
Main Article Content
Abstract
The paper investigates the possibility of using industrial waste PVC sawdust as partial replacement for sand in mortar and concrete. For this purpose, mixtures of standard cement mortar and ordinary concrete were prepared in which the proportion of sand was replaced by different volume fraction of PVC sawdust. The test results show a decrease in the workability of mixtures and a decreasing trend in compressive and bending tensile strength with the increase of PVC sawdust in comparison to the reference concrete.
